There are plenty of adventures you can plan during your stay, but one is very close y, and that is Lake Nantahala. As a guest, you will have direct access to the lake and boating, paddleboarding, kayaking, or canoeing, among other things to do at the lake.
Besides enjoying activities on the lake, you can try whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River and fly fishing at any number of locations.

Covering much of southwestern North Carolina, the Nantahala National Forest gives you numerous activities to choose from. Enjoy hiking in rugged wilderness areas, mountain biking, horse back riding, whitewater rafting, and fishing, among other things.
At Nantahala Lake, you can fish to your heart's content. You can expect to find trout, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and catfish. And, the lake is the Southeast's only location for freshwater Kokanee salmon.
The Nantahala River is one of North Carolina's best places for fly fishing. Fishing locations are divided into three sections: two along the Upper Nantahala River, and one on the Lower Nantahala River. Each section has different regulations and creel limits.
